Foucault's idea of a government is not the ruling of the territory and its inhabitants, but its population, which is the object statistical analysis and scientific knowledge with its own intrinsic regularities. It focuses on the population through administrative institution by thrusting policies and strategies.
The Merlion Identity, is a study of a speech as a tool that creates a structure. It is broken down to 3 part, the study of its inhabitant, the facts or statistical result and finally the conforming idea of improvement to the 'structure'. A common language is what ties all of this parts together as it is familiar as well as easily understood. |
