An exhibition of acts and interventions in public spaces For Grey Projects’ Young Curator Programme (2014) Grey Projects October 2014 If art is a visual language, would it be characterised, like speech, with the accents and tonal inflections associated with particular localities? And how do these elements affect the presentation and characteristics of works produced by artists born or based here? In this project the artists explore the existence and the necessity of these elements in their practice. Most of the presentations are documentations of performances, incidents, mischiefs and interventions carried out on site. Presented in past tense, this group show could be viewed as an aftermath of a series of happenings, centered around the heartlands of Tiong Bahru.
