A sculptural installation commissioned by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games, this installation consists of 2 parts: The Tower of Excellence, whose walls are filled with deeds of excellence; from the mundane ideals of the everyday layman to work of kings and conquerors, where the readers are invited to find and realize their own forms of personal excellence. At night, the Beacon of Excellence lights up, drawing people to their person dreams of grandeur. On the lower ground, strange and colourful ceramics ‘seed’ pods sow the ground, a metaphorical dreaming of the possibilities of the athletes.
