Children of the State illustrates how a figure of important status can be able to influence a whole nation.
Part of an independent group show exhibition titled "Withstanding", Change is and inevitable consequence of the passing of time and can be subtle conversion or a sudden upheaval. Inspired by and dedicated to the venue itself, 'Withstanding' proposes the exhibition of a group of young artists who tackles the concept of progression, resistance and the temporal through diverse practices. Moreover, it examines the definition of and what qualifies as time-based art, which in itself is a profusion of various forms. The works included seek to reflect upon changes that are internal as well as external and environmental, capturing a landscape of contemporary circumstances. |
